Kids Baking Camp: Full Week (Jul 8th - 12th)

Each day we add a new skill that opens up the world of what baking can be! From tricky macarons to cream puffs, we cover all the tricky bits of baking, learning how our ingredients work together, and getting sweet treats along the way! Students take all recipes learned in class home.
- This course uses hot sugar, induction stove tops, sharp tools and more.
- Ages 8 and up.
- This camp works with a nut product almond flour (Macarons)

Welcome to Day 1 of Baking Camp! Today we make a classic favorite from scratch, from cupcake to the always delicious cream cheese frosting!
Tuesday, Jul 9th | 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Everyone's favorite fancy sandwich cookie the macaron! In todays class we figure out how to make this tricky cookie a sucess every time! Students make their own Italian macarons, pipe, fill and decorate them! We work with almond flour on this day only.
Wednesday, Jul 10th | 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
In todays Baking camp we are learning a crowd favorite pastry - cream puffs & eclairs! Students learn how to make a perfect Pate-a-choux, pipe multiple shapes, use ganache for decorations and fill their pastries with a delicious pastry cream!
Thursday, Jul 11th | 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Cookie Day! Today we are making 2 types of recipes and will learn how to make multiple types of cookies from them! We make and pipe the buttery and delicous Spritz cookies and then learn how to make spiral cookies, perfect chocolate chip, and many more!
Friday, Jul 12th | 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
For our final day of camp we tackle tarts! We will make a delicious white chocolate tart topped with a variety of fruits and learn how to make poptarts from scratch! By the end of the week you'll have enough treats to open up shop!
NY Cake Academy classes are held in our Manhattan flagship at 118 W 22nd St. All supplies and materials included, but if you require any special accomodations please don't hesitate to contact us at custom@nycakeacademy.com. Our classes are hands-on, interactive experiences. So, please dress accordingly. We recommend wearing casual clothing that you won’t mind getting a little sugar on, and flat comfortable shoes. Open toed shoes and sandals are not recommended as this is a safety concern when working within a kitchen. Long hair should be tied back.
